digital photogrammetry

due to a rapid progress of digital photography, digital photogrammetry became an affordable and precise method of spatial data collection in special tasks where conventional surveying methods fail to produce time efficient and complex result. A typical example of digital photogrammetry exercise is a survey of a complicated building elevation. Conventional survey of every single part of the elevation would take an extensive period of survey time and raise the final cost, while taking a photograph takes only a moment. The result of the latter is orthophotoplan of the building elevation or a CAD drawing created from the acquired data producing standard elevation documentation.
